Precepts are the life span of Buddhism. The Buddha taught: "After the Buddha's extinction, we must consider the precepts as a wise teacher, just as the Buddha in this world is no different" Bi, He considers all sentient beings of all species as an only child. The Buddha's love for sentient beings in the Shurangama Sutra says, like a mother loves her child, she just wants to make her child get rid of all the difficulties and enjoy all the joys, so in the Avatamsaka Sutra it says: "The Buddha did not Is there any other thought other than Great Compassion, bestowing joy and relief for all sentient beings?" So the Buddha was born, not for that purpose, out of love for sentient beings as an only child, but had to bestow joy and relief from suffering, and in the Lotus Sutra, the Buddha clearly said: "The Buddha was born because he wanted to help all sentient beings. was enlightened by the Buddha's knowledge, To spend? So that the present as well as all the people in the future and to all sentient beings are imbued with the righteous Dharma to end suffering and be at peace. As the Buddha taught: "After the Buddha's extinction, we must regard the Precepts as a wise teacher, just as the Buddha in this world is no different". Therefore, after the Buddha's extinction, especially in this Dharma-ending period, if we have a mind to preserve the Dharma of the Tathagata to benefit everyone, all sentient beings will be happy. If you are suffering, you must first keep the Buddha's precepts that still exist in the world, and those that exist in the world can serve as the foundation for the existence of the Dharma. If you want to keep the precepts that exist in the world, you must practice them in the precepts made by the Buddha when he was still in the world. Therefore, that is transmitted to the present day. Therefore, where we are the ones who have received the precepts and practice according to the precepts, we must take the precepts and give them to future generations to have a continuous inheritance. Therefore, we must be precepts, must transmit precepts so that they can be precepts, learn precepts, and keep precepts. Those precepts, when they already have the precepts, will also pass them on to others who are also ordained, learn, and keep the precepts. Only then can the Buddha's dharma precepts exist, while the dharma precepts exist, only the buddha dharma will remain, this is what it says in the sutras. All the Buddha's Dharma is told to us as well as to all sentient beings, who can believe it, can do it, and reach the goal of ending suffering, enjoying peace, achieving liberation, and full of great wisdom. Compassion like Buddha is no different. What is precepts? Since it is so important to ordained, I would like to remind all of you that: Anyway, it doesn't mention the circumstances or any of those things. It can influence us not to follow the precepts, but as for what we have to do to transmit the precepts, if we don't get it all, there's also a big part to accomplishing the things in the precepts instructing us to do so. how. Because the ordination has the right Dharma, the person who receives the precepts will get the precepts. Thus, the first precept is in the place of the person taking the precepts, but the person receiving the precepts has not yet received the precepts, then how can there be a dignified precept with pure virtue, so the transmission of the precepts is the first one. At the end of the day, we have to do what we can, even if we can't be completely perfect, but we also have to do the most important things that are stated in the precepts for those who are obligated to transmit the vows. I also pray for the purity of the six-rooted monks, The three karmas are pure, the world is dignified to bring the Buddha's teachings to the disciples. And here, I also have some advice to remind monks and nuns to pray for precepts. I take the liberty to call you brothers, because after all, we are all children of the Buddha. If we are children of the Buddha, we have the same father, which means we are all brothers. Brothers and sisters today, like me before, for more than half a century, we also have the need to pray and the desire to be ordained. My heart the day before, and the days after that is also the heart of the ordained brothers today. I sympathize in that wish of the brothers, because I have been through it and my heart has been embraced since then until today. Why? Because when we ask for precepts like that, we see that our hearts are somewhat earnest and pure for the precepts. Because because of that need, it has desire and respect. Brothers and sisters, you should know that: The first step, which is to give up the mind, is very difficult but also very precious, but it is also possible that after it is done, the mind that arises at the beginning will gradually fade away. That's why I said just now that my desire for the precepts, as well as the respect for the precepts that I had for the first time, I still keep in mind and embrace them for the rest of my life. It is our duty today, as well as that of the World Masters, for the sole purpose of bringing the Dharma of the Buddha to pass on to our successors so that the Buddha's Dharma is forever handed down in the world without end. . The content of the precepts Actually, there are times when it fades a bit, but thanks to the thought of one's duty, thinking about how in the future I will be sublime to enter the holy state and pray for liberation, thanks to that wishful place, if it is pulled back to respect the precepts, respect the precepts as at the beginning. Therefore, I advise all brothers and sisters who pray for precepts today to keep in mind the sacred moments when they ask for precepts. What is the mood of the will? We must clearly remember the day, the year, the hour until the minute we were ordained, so that we can hold it tightly in our hearts to preserve and cherish forever after our whole life. That's what I remind you in the coming days, after receiving the precepts and getting the precepts; When you return to your place of residence, over time, you will find that the cherishing and cherishing of the precepts you have taken and received is very difficult to fully keep, very difficult to maintain, not a matter of fact. where easy. There must be a strong will to be strong, there must be a mental activity that is always under control to be able to be complete for the preservation of hugs. As you know, the Buddha taught: "In the six paths of sentient beings, only the human body can become a monk and can be ordained as a monk or a nun". Now, brothers and sisters, you can become a human being and also have a good predestined relationship to receive the precepts in the near future, to receive the precepts, and to receive the precepts of righteous cause and effect, because in many previous lifetimes, you have planted deep roots of goodness. just like that today. First of all, brothers and sisters must cherish the good roots that you have worked so hard to cultivate from many previous lives, so that each day can grow bigger and there is no waste. As in the Buddha's law said: Why do people who receive the precepts get the precepts? Because, the person who receives the precepts is before the precepts. The transmission of the precepts that the realm, By having a mind of wholehearted reverence, one attains precepts, one must remember that. The initial mind that is giving up the mind is very difficult but also very precious, but it is also possible that after it is achieved, the mind that arises at the beginning will gradually fade away. Precepts are the basic foundation of worldly ethics. Therefore, at this moment, brothers and sisters, always uphold the precept that only the Buddha was born, the precept that we are about to receive, it is not an easy task. there is no. If we already have it, it's easy, if there wasn't a Buddha, there wouldn't be that precept in the world. Why? Because it is in that precept that can be the foundation, the first foothold to step up to the rank of sage. Because the sages are due to right concentration and right wisdom, they can become sages. If there is no precept, then right concentration does not arise from nowhere, when right concentration does not exist, where does right wisdom arise? When there is no right concentration, where does right wisdom arise? So to say, the human world is born with concentration, and the human world will bring wisdom, in your last vow I also heard mention of that. Thus, you already know a little about the importance of precepts. Precepts are the first step, without precepts, where do you get the wisdom to step up to the sage level? Because of such thinking, if you have a very important and precious heart, because of such respect and need, when you are in front of the monk's precepts to receive the precepts you will receive the precepts, that's what is in the precepts. the law says. If you have learned, understood and practiced according to the precepts, then you have grasped the first step to step up to the sage level to free all suffering, and it is also in the precepts that it makes the first step for you. will come to the place where the only wish of the Buddha was to be for all people, All sentient beings awaken to enlightenment, enter the Buddha's knowledge and understanding to become a Buddha like a Buddha. Effect of precepts The reason for attaining precepts is due to a very respectful heart. Without that respect, it is impossible to attain precepts, that's my purpose today to remind you. And I would also like to remind next that after receiving the precepts, you must try to learn the precepts well, thanks to learning, understanding and memorizing, you can practice properly with the precepts. If you have learned, understood and practiced according to the precepts, then you have grasped the first step to step up to the sage level to free all suffering, and it is also in the precepts that it makes the first step for you. will come to the place where the only wish of the Buddha was born, which is for everyone, all sentient beings to awaken to enlightenment, enter the Buddha's knowledge and understanding to become a Buddha like a Buddha.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.7/6/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
