TEACHING We were born into this life at a remarkable period, one of the brief periods when the Buddha's teachings were alive in the world. Those teachings are the Noble Eightfold Path — morality, concentration, and wisdom, especially the technique of Vipassana meditation by which we can train the mind to see the ultimate nature of mundane things, their nature. their impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and selflessness. With the development of this wisdom of renunciation, our mind gradually loses its tension, suffering, and desire, and thus develops true peace and happiness. This article is written with all the humility of someone new to the Path, in the spirit of “ehipassiko” (come to see), the characteristic of Dharma (Dhamma) that invites people to come see and experience. it.Of course there is still a long way to go, but whatever this Path leads to is no doubt and therefore this article, as an expression of the sincere wish in the heart, aims to encourage and urge everyone to shoulder this extremely beneficial work of eliminating ignorance and craving to end all suffering. INTRODUCTION All of the Buddha's teachings have only one purpose — the eradication of all suffering, sorrow, unhappiness, and anguish. All the forms of meditation explained by the Buddha are designed to train the mind of Buddhist students to become renunciation, letting go of worldly dharmas (phenomena), both within and outside of themselves. This is the purpose of Buddhist meditation because renunciation is the opposite of craving (taṇhā) and it is this craving that is the source of all kinds of suffering that sentient beings experience in life. Due to our ignorance of the true nature of worldly dhammas, this craving has taken root deeply in our minds. Therefore, vipassana or the Buddha's technique of vipassana meditation was designed to give us the ability to pierce through illusions about the nature of reality, illusions that are perpetuated by misperception. our own about the world and about ourselves. We must gain a profound understanding of the impermanent, unsatisfactory and non-self nature of conditioned phenomena (conditioned phenomena), of all mental and physical phenomena (nature & materiality). ), which is the result of some multiplier.Insight is often conceived of as a magical experience that just happens suddenly and immediately makes everything clear. In general, however, insight is developed slowly and sequentially through the careful process of contemplating, investigating, and analyzing phenomena until the ultimate nature lies behind established reality and their realness is distinctly and reliably perceived. This process in Pāḷi is called Dhammavicaya (the investigation of the dharma or the investigation of the dhamma) and is also closely related to the yoniso-manasikāra (such as rational attention or skillful attention) which we will examine here. The Great Elder Ledi (Burma) in his Bodhipakkhiya Dīpani (Explaining the Thirty-Seven Dharmas of Enlightenment) defines dhammavicaya — investigation of the dharma, as identical with wisdom (paññā) and right view (sammādiṭṭhi) and describes progress Investigator with example:“Just as cotton seeds are rolled and combed, etc. etc. to make the fabric, the process of repeatedly observing the five aggregates (form, feeling, perception, mental formations and consciousness) with the functions of insight knowledge (vipassanā ñāṇa) is also called "Dhammavicaya" ”—Dharma, it's the same. First the topics to be investigated (meticulous study), or the contents of investigation for the wisdom leading to liberation, must be considered. Then the role of dhammavicaya specifically as part of vipassana meditation will be discussed. Next will discuss the role of rational attention in preventing the arising of psychological obstacles or hindrances that can hinder progress in meditation and (such as mindfulness) is also considered one of the most important aspects of meditation. factors that lead to intellectual growth. Finally, the method of using investigation with other factors of enlightenment and with elements of the Noble Eightfold Path will be presented.
